Remote Full-time 3+ years Engineering
Build and ship core product features across our Nuxt frontend and Node.js backend — from real-time collaboration to AI-powered lab creation.
About the role
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who cares about product quality as much as code quality. You'll work across the stack on Stepwik Studio — our editor, APIs, integrations, and the infrastructure that powers interactive learning for teams.
What you'll work on
- Design, build, and maintain features across the frontend (Vue/Nuxt) and backend (Node.js/Express)
- Collaborate with design and product on user-facing flows from spec through release
- Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews
- Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience in the codebase
- Integrate third-party services (payments, email, analytics, AI providers) where needed
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of full stack development experience shipping production web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (Vue or React)
- Experience building REST APIs and working with databases (MongoDB or similar)
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and debugging across the stack
- Clear communicator who can break down technical tradeoffs for the team
Nice to have Optional
- Experience with Nuxt, Vuetify, or real-time collaboration (WebSockets/Yjs)
- Familiarity with TipTap, ProseMirror, or rich-text editing
- Background in developer tools, EdTech, or B2B SaaS
- Exposure to AI/LLM integrations in product features
