Stepwik Docs is now available to help developers, authors, and teams better understand how Stepwik works.

The documentation provides more detailed guidance across the platform—from understanding key features to learning the developer-facing aspects of Stepwik.

Audio Support in the Editor

You can now add audio directly to your Stepwik content.

Audio can make labs more accessible, add additional context, and help authors create richer learning experiences beyond text, images, and video.

Two ways to add audio

Upload MP3 Audio: Upload an existing MP3 file directly from the Stepwik Editor and include it as part of your learning content.

Record Audio Live: Record audio directly inside the Editor without needing a separate recording tool. Explain a concept, provide instructions, or add additional context while building your content.

This opens up new possibilities for tutorials, walkthroughs, accessibility, and instructor-led learning experiences.

Introducing Stepwik for Startups

We’re launching the Stepwik for Startups Program to help early-stage teams create better developer onboarding and education experiences without adding more work to their engineering teams.

Eligible startups can get 6 months of Stepwik support and access, along with hands-on help from our team.

We’re also launching the Stepwik for Communities Program for open-source projects, developer communities, community chapters, and non-profit organizations.

The program is designed to help communities scale education and contributor onboarding without requiring a large tooling budget.

What communities get

• Free or Discounted Stepwik Access: Eligible open-source projects, communities, and non-profits can receive free or discounted access to Stepwik.
• Hands-On Setup: Get help creating your first interactive labs from resources you already have, including CONTRIBUTING.md files, contributor guides, volunteer handbooks, workshop material, and presentation decks.
• Community-Focused Support: Get priority guidance from the Stepwik team so organizers and maintainers can spend more time supporting contributors and their mission and less time repeating the same walkthroughs.
